I wanted to represent the holistic nature of human emotions—how they continuously interact, transform, and bleed into one another. To visualize this abstract concept, I decided to use a vibrant, dynamic color spectrum as a metaphor for our shifting emotional states.
The technical foundation starts with simple line geometry, which I warped and scattered using a combination of noise operators and custom animation channels. To make the structure feel alive and reactive, I linked its movement directly to the audio. By extracting the low-end frequencies through my audio analysis setup, I drove the spatial translations (X, Y, and Z axes) of the forms. This causes the distinct ribbons of particles to weave, collide, and separate in a continuous, graceful dance that matches the rhythm of the track.
The ethereal, silky aesthetic was heavily shaped in the post-processing network. I built a feedback and blur loop to soften the sharp particles into smooth, flowing energy waves. The defining element—the vibrant coloring—was achieved by passing the final output through a custom color ramp and lookup system. This mapped a rich gradient of neon greens, blues, and magentas across the movement, perfectly capturing the feeling of different emotions blending into a unified, glowing whole.
